Our baby and toddler gym classes are designed to promote healthy motor development - with opportunities to balance, bounce, jump, swing, spin, roll, slide, climb and tumble on equipment designed and sized just for them. We offer a safe space for children to test their physical limits, to take risks and make mistakes - we’ve got them covered with 2-inch foam flooring.
Toddler gymnastics skills are broken down into age-appropriate progressions, with a focus on technique and safety. Skills are demonstrated and explained for our visual and auditory learners, then spotted as needed for tactile and kinesthetic learners. Students learn to sequence as they move through obstacles in our gym circuit. Turn taking is introduced, and children grow their ability to listen and follow direction from instructors.
We help your child build a strong foundation for future development. Physical benefits include increased cardio health, muscle development, core strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, postural control, balance and more!
A new theme or concept is introduced weekly (and repeated annually), with lesson plans thoughtfully crafted to benefit our students. Creative movement songs, games and activities are woven into each class. We utilize props like shaky eggs, scarves, hoops, bean bags, rhythm sticks, bubbles and parachute to make these classes engaging and FUN!
Social-emotional skills bloom as children begin to take an interest in their classmates and teachers. In our preschool program we learn to collaborate with peers, respect those around us, be a good friend and develop a growth mindset. Mistakes are opportunities to persevere and learn!
As babies grow older we offer class options with increasingly more structure, OR looser play-based and child-led formats. To determine the right class for your little one please consider:
1) The needs and expectations the caregiver-you!
2) The energy and learning style of your child
3) The teachers responsibility to keep the class safe and progressing forward.
