DISTANCE LEARNING CAMP

Tumble By The Sea has opened registration for our Education Through Movement Camp. Our hope is to provide the most collaborative experience for our students that is most in line with what a “normal” classroom would feel like both socially and academically. 

The camp will have no more than 8 students per day total - that are working to complete the virtual coursework from their school. We plan to offer options for cohorts based on Grade Level, Day & Length. Our goal is to provide thoughtful care, mentoring and educational support with the homeschooling process while incorporating lots of ways to get their wiggles out!

Because each school (and grade) has their own methodology and schedule for virtual instruction, we are accepting 2nd & 3rd Grade students from Robert Down Elementary School and Forest Grove Elementary School only.

We base our staffing on the number of registered campers, so we are unable to offer tuition refunds/credits for Distance Learning Camps.

 Safety is of paramount importance to us at Tumble. At this time masks are mandatory for everyone - children and adults alike-inside our building. Students will be expected to keep their nose and mouth covered indoors at all times, until the restriction is lifted.

What we are doing to keep students and families safe:

1).  All students and Tumble staff members will be required to have their temperature checked (no-touch forehead scan) prior to entering the gym.

2). Face coverings will be required for staff members and students.

3). Face coverings will be required for adults during student drop-off.

4).  The ENTIRE facility (including the bathroom) will be open to students and staff ONLY.

5).  The gym doors will remain open at all times (unless deemed unsafe) for touch less entry into the building and to assist in the circulation of fresh air.

6). All communication to Tumble staff will be done via email, phone and during drop-off (while maintaining physical distancing). 

7). Camp size will not exceed 8 students per day, with a minimum of  two staff members.

8). Students will be grouped together by Grade Level (cohorts).

9). We will provide flex seating where each student is assigned their own desk and chair.

10).  We will incorporate physical movement throughout the day (as the school schedule allows).

11).  Physical distancing of 6 feet between students will be implemented.

12).  For the safety of our students, food and drinks brought into the gym cannot be shared. Snack time will take place outside (weather permitting).

13). The entire gym will be cleaned and sanitized daily.

14).  All doors and high touch surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day – and at a minimum hourly.

15).  Two portable air filtration systems (medical quality) will run the entire day in the gym and recycle the air every 30 minutes.

16).  The foam pit will be covered and completely off limits.

17.)  Students will have their own school supplies that will stay at Tumble - no sharing.
